The High Line

So everyone knows I was excited about this session. But I’d like to provide a little insight on just how important this session was. •
Ryan and Alec had planned a large and dreamy wedding scheduled to be on 10.13.17. They had chosen their venue, flowers and she has found her dress - THE dress. She had gone with her parents to the @weddingateliernyc, and found this stunning gown. •
Tragically, Ryan’s father, Patrick, was diagnosed with cancer in June. The cancer progressed rapidly and in September they learned their time together would be limited. Ryan and her amazing husband planned a complete wedding in 72 hours so her father could be there for her day. She bought a new dress, organized for her closest friends and family to fly in to her back yard ceremony and there they would wed on 9.18.17. Unfortunately, Patrick lost his battle on 9.16.17. •
Ryan and Alec proceeded to get married on 9.18.17 surrounded by their loved ones, in a truly stunning ceremony in a day filled to the brim with love, happiness and heartache all in one. •
However she never had the opportunity to wear that perfect gown, the one her father helped her choose. I had recently reached out to Ryan to do a session in a different gown, she quickly responded, what about my dress? And from there we created a day that I would have never even imagined. Below is how Ryan felt about this day : • “The amount of LOVE I felt from this photoshoot was unreal. Alec and I had OUR moment. Our moment together as a bride and groom. Wearing the dress my father loved I truly felt like a princess. My father’s princess. This day was more magical than I could have ever imagined. And I can not thank everyone enough for the amount of love that was given to Alec and I for this moment to happen.” •. There is truly no greater feeling than being able to give someone that moment. I love you both, I am thankful for you always, I will never forget this day and the love and happiness that surrounded us.
